Ever since discovering how easy it is to use Stampin' Up!'s shaker frames, I can't stop thinking of tiny, granulated items that I can put in them. Glitter... sand... SPRINKLES!!!
Sprinkles - of course! And I immediately thought to use the Cherry on Top Hostess stamp set from the Annual Catalog. What do you think?
I love an interactive card, and I think that this one is super cute and fun! I colored the birthday cake image from Patterned Party with my Brights Stampin' Write Markers, then stamped it onto Whisper White cardstock. I then punched a 2 1/2" Circle in Real Red cardstock. Next, cut out a piece of Window Sheet large enough to cover your opening for your frame. Stampin' Up! does not have a shaker frame to fit the 2 1/2" Circle, so I cut two smaller frames and pieced them together in a circle shape. Make sure you only remove one side of the adhesive backing from your shaker frame so that when you fill it, your filling does not stick to the frame. I poured in my sprinkles, removed the other side of the adhesive backing, then laid my Whisper White piece with the cake on top of the frame. It's that easy!
You can actually see my reflection in the Shaker Frame -- oops!
The sentiment is from the Hostess set in the Annual Catalog, Cherry on Top. I just colored in the words that I wanted with my Pacific Point Stampin' Write Marker. I used the capital letters from Simply Serif Mini Alphabet, colored with my Brights Stampin' Write Markers to spell out "Sprinkles". A little spritz of color with my Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker and the Color Spritzer added the finishing touch.
