Papaya Butterflies... Two Ways!

For today's cards, I took a cute and basic sketch and made a standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card and a 3" square card.  Which one do you all like best?

The butterfly image from Papaya Collage is stamped onto 1 1/4" Whisper White squares in Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, and Melon Mambo.  A simple knot of Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Stitched Ribbon pulls it together.

A single Basic Rhinestone adds a bit of bling to my butterflies.

This 3" square card uses the same stamps and square motif, but the butterflies are mounted on a Crumb Cake layer and the stitched ribbon is replaced with Linen Thread.

Hope you enjoyed today's quick and easy cards!  Happy Stamping!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Papaya Collage, Sweet Essentials
Ink:  Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry
Paper:  Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Embellishments:  Linen Thread, Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Stitched Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones

A Trio of Pretty Petites!

I can't take credit for today's cute mini cards.  I found these on Pinterest, originally created by demo Audrey, and I knew I had to CASE them!  This was my first ever mini card (3"x3"), and I think I am in love with them now.  These things are so stinkin' cute in person! And Stampin' Up! even has 3 1/4" square envelopes to fit these perfectly.  Mine are being shipped right now!

The DSP is from Print Poetry DSP Stack, and the greetings are from Pretty Petites.  The Petite Curly Label Punch makes these minis quick and easy!

Hope you loved these as much as I do!  Happy Stamping!

Florals for Freshly Made Sketches

Today's card is one that I did for Freshly Made Sketches.  At first the sketch seemed a bit difficult, but then I had the idea to create the square element out of negative space.  All of the blank, open space of the sketch also allowed me to use a pretty piece of Floral District DSP.  Take a look:

I turned the sketch on the side, and used the Curly Label Punch to punch the right side of the DSP.  The greeting is from Pretty Petites, punched out with the Petite Curly Label Punch.  I placed the greeting on a So Saffron circle cut using the 1 1/4" Circle Punch.

A bit of Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine and a Rich Razzleberry button complete the look.

Happy Stamping!

Pretty Colors for the Paper Players!

The challenge over at The Paper Players this week incorporates one of my favorite colors, Crumb Cake, so I decided to play along.  Take a look:

I stamped "Thanks" from Vintage Verses in three of the challenge colors and, since I didn't have an Island Indigo ink pad, I chose the Island Indigo print from the Sycamore Street DSP for my background.  A pretty Rich Razzlberry button tied with Linen Thread (which I think is Crumb Cake-colored), adds a nice and simple embellishment.

Hope you enjoyed today's quick and easy card! Happy Stamping!

*Oops, just realized today is Friday, not Thursday, so the challenge is over... Oh, well!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Vintage Verses
Ink:  Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry
Paper:  Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry, Sycamore Street DSP
Embellishments:  SAB Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack, Linen Thread

A Whole Latte Love!

For today's card I decided to pull out one of the stamp sets from Sale-A-Bration... Patterned Occasions. I have barely used this set, and I am planning on gifting a friend with a little basket of coffee and tea goodies, so I thought this stamp would be perfect.  Take a look:

I used my Stampin' Write Markers to color directly on the stamp, then stamped it onto Whisper White cardstock.  The Extra Large Oval Punch fits perfectly into the Designer Frames TIEF, and a sweet little Rich Razzleberry bow adds a bit of whimsy.

A Tempting Torquoise trim, cut with the Adorning Accents Edgelits, ties into the Tempting Torquoise frame.  A few Basic Rhinestones finish off the look.

Hope you enjoyed today's card!  Happy Stamping!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Patterned Occasions
Ink:  Tempting Torquoise, Real Red, and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Markers

Bashful Blue and Pumpkin Pie for Dynamic Duos...

DD#48.png
I really liked the cheerful color combination over at Dynamic Duos this week, so I decided to play along.  Take a look:

I love it when I start a card with absolutely no idea what I am doing and then it turns out fabulously!  I stamped the swirly image from Everything Eleanor in Bashful Blue then cut the image into three 1 1/4" strips.  The flowers from Everything Eleanor were stamped in Pumpkin Pie onto Whisper White cardstock.  Next, I used my Blender Pen to color in the flowers.

I used the Stampin' Distress Tool to rough up the edges of my Bashful Blue base layer.  Love that tool! And it's just $4.95!

The flowers get a little bit of sparkle thanks to Dazzling Details.

The sentiment, from Sweet Essentials, was stamped onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock that had been sponged with Crumb Cake. I curled the end of the banner up a bit for some added dimension.  A bit of Linen Thread ties the Crumb Cake elements together.

Hope you enjoyed today's card!  Happy Stamping!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Sweet Essentials, Everything Eleanor
Ink:  Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake
Paper:  Bashful Blue, Brights DSP Stack, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Embellishments:  Linen Thread, Dazzling Details
Tools:  Stampin' Distress Tool

Just Can't Get Enough of the Swallowtail!

Do you have one go-to stamp that you just can't get enough of?!  Swallowtail is that stamp, for me!  I liked the Basic Black and So Saffron color combo that I used recently so I decided to us that combo again for today's card.  Take a look:

I stamped the Swallowtail in Black Staz-On first, then used my Blender Pen and So Saffron to add some color.

The greeting, from Pretty Petites, was stamped in Black Staz-On then punched out with the Petite Curly Label Punch.  I layered it on top of one of the flower cut-outs from the Sale-A-Bration Simply Sent kit.

Happy Stamping!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Swallowtail, Pretty Petites
Ink:  Black Staz-On, So Saffron
Paper:  Whisper White, Basic Black, So Saffron
Embellishments:  SAB Simply Sent Flower Cut-Out

I couldn't resist pulling out my Madison Avenue set from Sale-A-Bration again.  I know, Sale-A-Bration is over (tear), but hopefully you all got your hands on this great stamp set.

I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up each image exactly where I wanted it.  The sentiment, from Lacey and Lovely, is accented with a few Basic Rhinestones.

A few spritzes of Rich Razzleberry marker using the Color Spritzer Tool complete the look.

Hope you enjoyed this nice and easy one!  Happy Stamping!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Madison Avenue, Lacey and Lovely

Basic Black and So Saffron... Fresh and Modern!

Today's card uses a color combination from an old Dynamic Duos challenge... Basic Black and So Saffron.  If you need inspiration or find yourself in a rut, I suggest using past challenges from the dozens of challenge websites out there in cyber space!

You can't really tell from this picture, but I made the focal point of this card similar to the card I did for the Pals March Blog Hop.  The large oval was cut out using the Oval Framelits and a piece of Window Sheet was layered underneath.  The black flowers from Bloomin' Marvelous were stamped on top of the Window Sheet using Staz-On ink and the So Saffron flowers were stamped onto a Very Vanilla piece of cardstock underneath.

The sentiment is from Pretty Petites, punched out with the coordinating Petite Curly Label Punch.  The black and vanilla striped paper is actually leftover scraps from last year's Halloween Printer's Tray Kit.  I think that it adds a fun and fresh visual element to the card.

The hummingbird image from Bloomin' Marvelous fits well with the design, and a few Basic Pearls dress up the flowers a bit.

Hope you enjoyed this one!  Happy Stamping!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Bloomin' Marvelous, Pretty Petites
Ink:  Basic Black, So Saffron, Black Staz-On
Paper:  So Saffron, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Window Sheet, Paper from Retired Halloween Printer's Tray Kit
Embellishments:  Basic Pearls
Tools:  Oval Framelits, Big Shot, Petite Curly Label Punch

Sorry I've Been MIA!... and Soda Pop Top Keychains!

Hi everyone!  Sorry that I have been MIA lately!  My poor one year old daughter has been teething and it has been REALLY bad!  Like I can't even set her down for two minutes.  So, it has been hard to get any card making and/or blogging time.  She turned one about two weeks ago and still only has two teeth!  Anybody else think that's a little late, or is this normal?  My three year old daughter had all of her teeth by the time she was eight months old!  Anyway, I think that I have my mojo back so I will try to keep the posts more regular again.  :)

I did manage to make these fun little keychains using Stampin' Up!'s Soda Pop Tops for the girls in my family.  Take a look:

This one was made using the Sycamore Street DSP from Sale-A-Bration.  I punched out Basic Gray clover shapes from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and glued them to the DSP, then punched a circle using the 1" Circle Punch.  The whole circle was embossed with Irridescent Ice Embossing Powder for a fun sparkle.  Coordinating ribbon completes the look.

All of the letters were stamped using the Simply Serif Mini Alphabet stamp set.

This one was made by stamping one of the images from Pretty Petites in Tangerine Tango, then using the Stamp-a-majig to line up the letters inside the frame.  I then punched the image out using the coordinating Petite Curly Label Punch.

This one was stamped using various images from Collage Curios.

I purchased jump rings and keychain rings from my local craft store and had my husband drill a small hole in the edge of the Soda Pop Tops for me to attach the key rings.  I love the result!  What do you think?

If you have any questions on how to make these, just let me know and I can give you a more complete tutorial!
