Today's card uses a few products that have been sitting on my shelf for a while unused... Vellum and the Comfort Cafe DSP. I like the warmth of the colors in this DSP and thought that the stems of the flowers would pair nicely with the swirly image from Everything Eleanor. Take a look:
I heat embossed the swirl image in Cherry Cobbler embossing powder onto Vellum Cardstock, then layered it over a strip of the neutral houndstooth pattern from the Comfort Cafe DSP. If you look carefully at the DSP, you can see that there are a few small Cajun Craze flowers that mimic the flower shape in the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. I punched those shapes out in Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse and added some small Basic Pearls in the centers.
I thought that this sentiment from Vintage Verses went well with the rest of the swirly elements on the card. A few more flower shapes cover up an ink smudge... yes, I'm telling on myself here. :)
Happy Stamping! See you all tomorrow!
And don't forget about my March Special... place a $50 order with me and you could receive this card as one of your three!
